Mae Sot:A fire broke out at a garment factory in the heart of Mae Sot city, forcing over 70 workers to flee and salvage their belongings from the rapidly spreading blaze.
According to Thai News Agency, the fire was reported to the Mae Sot Police Station in Tak Province, prompting an immediate response from authorities and the dispatch of more than 10 fire trucks to the scene near Mae Sot Hospital. The fire originated in a densely populated area, specifically in a row of over 10 single-story workers' quarters adjacent to the garment factory.
The blaze, fueled by strong winds, raged through the old wooden houses and quickly spread to the factory, emitting thick black smoke.
