Fire Engulfs Secondhand Shop and Warehouse in Bowin District

Chonburi: A fire broke out at a secondhand goods and auto parts shop in the Bowin district of Chonburi province, completely destroying the establishment and alarming nearby residents.

According to Thai News Agency, the incident occurred at a house that also functioned as a secondhand goods shop, selling a large quantity of car batteries and other automotive parts. It was situated in Soi Allay, near Wat Bowin, in the Bo Win subdistrict of Si Racha district, Chonburi province. Rescue teams and local authorities, including those from Si Racha district and the Bowin police station, responded promptly. Fire trucks from the Chao Phraya Surasak Municipality, Bowin Subdistrict Administrative Organization, Laem Chabang Municipality, and Si Racha Municipality were deployed to battle the flames.

The fire raged for over two hours before being brought under control. The house and warehouse were completely destroyed, and three cars and five motorcycles suffered damage. A large quantity of car batteries and other auto parts stored in the warehouse were also completely destroyed, with items surrounding the warehouse sustaining damage as well. The extent of the damage remains unknown at this time.

This morning, police from the Bowin Police Station are coordinating with forensic investigators to examine the scene and determine the exact cause of the fire.
