Floods in Nonthaburi Lead to Loss of Nearly 1,000 License Plates

Nonthaburi:Heavy rain and flooding in Nonthaburi have led to nearly 1,000 license plates being scattered across roads, significantly impacting the Pak Kret Police Station, where officers are urging vehicle owners to retrieve their plates. Among those lost are auctioned plates, with some valued as high as 100,000 baht each.

According to Thai News Agency, Pak Kret Police Station has issued a public announcement urging residents and road users in the Pak Kret District, who lost their license plates due to flooding, to contact the station for retrieval.

Officers recently discovered approximately 1,000 additional license plates at the front of the station, following reports from citizens who found and delivered them. Over 1,000 plates have already been reclaimed, yet many more are still arriving, including auctioned plates with prices from 5,000 to 100,000 baht.

The Pak Kret Police Station has reported that many plates were collected from the roads by officers and citizens. The collected plates have been compiled and listed on the station's website. Although many plates have been reclaimed, several remain unclaimed.

Residents driving on Sri Saman Road, Chaeng Wattana Road, Muang Thong Thani, or Tiwanon Road can find information on the Pak Kret Police Station website, the "Moo Deng Sri Saman" Facebook page, or by searching online for "lost license plate." The authorities update the online system daily, and owners can also visit the station between 1100 AM and 630 PM with proof of ownership to reclaim their plates.
