Hat yai: The Ministry of Public Health has mobilized forensic experts from across the nation to Hat Yai. These experts are tasked with verifying personal identities, and there is currently no set return date for their mission.
According to Thai News Agency, a team of forensic doctors from the Ministry of Public Health departed from the Royal Thai Air Force Base, Wing 6, heading to Hat Yai District in Songkhla Province. An official from the Ministry of Public Health disclosed that, under the orders of Public Health Minister and Permanent Secretary Mr. Pattana Promphat, forensic doctors have been mobilized nationwide to aid in the identification and disposition of bodies in the flood-affected Hat Yai District.
The initial group consists of 20 forensic doctors and 20 autopsy assistants from hospitals across the Ministry of Public Health's network. These professionals will be stationed at Prince of Songkla University. Additionally, a backup team comprising 60 forensic doctors and assistants is prepared to provide support and rotate shifts as needed.
