Lamphun: Another victim of a fortune teller claiming to perform rituals to resolve karma in Lamphun has emerged, alleging they were called into a room and subjected to inappropriate verbal harassment. An 18-year-old victim of a fortune teller in Lamphun, accused of harassing her by calling her into a room and making inappropriate remarks, has appealed to Sai Mai Tong Ruad for help.
According to Thai News Agency, a mother and her 18-year-old son sought help from the "Sai Mai Must Survive" Facebook page after the son fell victim to a famous fortune teller in Lamphun province. The victim stated that in February 2025, while traveling on business to the northern region, after finishing her errands, her mother, knowing that the person in question was well-known on social media, wanted to visit him to consult about her back pain. However, after the person discussed her mother's symptoms, the person became primarily interested in the victim, calling her to sit nearby and making lewd remarks in her ear. The person tried to get her mother to go eat outside, leaving the victim to have dinner alone with the fortune teller. After dinner, the person took the victim into a room, instructed her to meditate for five minutes, and then began speaking lewdly about animals. The victim felt terrified and remained in the room for several hours before being able to leave in the evening.
During the time in the room, the professor said he was in for a terrible ordeal, that it was an urgent case, and that he needed to take photos of a dog's genitals and anus placed side-by-side, attach them to a book he had given her, and send it to her by mail. She did not comply. This incident deeply affected her emotionally. She did not dare report it to the police because she lacked evidence, and also because on the day of the incident, she saw that many of the professor's students were government officials with high ranks, which made her feel afraid. However, she later found information on social media that there were many other victims who claimed to have experienced similar behavior.
Ekaphop Lueangprasert, founder of the "Sai Mai Must Survive" Facebook page, believes there are likely many more victims due to similar behavior. He views the astrologer as using the strong faith of his numerous followers as a shield, thinking no one could harm him. However, he asserts that karma is real, and that the astrologer, preoccupied with reading fortunes for others and neglecting his own, is now catching up with him. On Monday, May 11th, he will accompany this victim to file a police report at the Crime Suppression Division, Sub-Division 4, so that investigators can question them and gather evidence for legal proceedings. He also urges anyone who has experienced similar incidents to come forward and report them.
