Bangkok: The GLO Cup 2025 Youth 8-a-side Football Tournament has officially closed its applications after receiving more than 600 registrations from across the country.
According to Thai News Agency, the tournament, which is a collaboration between the Government Lottery Office (GLO) and the Thai Football Development Foundation, is open to youth teams composed of under-13 and under-15 players.
The competition offers a total prize pool of over 1 million baht, with an additional opportunity for Thai children to train in Japan. Successful participants will have the chance to follow the Japan Way by training with Avispa Fukuoka, a prominent team in Japan's J League, for a period of six months.
Several well-known football teams have signed up for the tournament, including Muang Thong United, Port Authority, Assumption Thonburi, Bangkok Christian, Rajvithi Bangkaew, Phothinimit, Ratchaburi FC, Assumption Bangkok, Wat Suthiwararam, and Thepsirin.
Teams that have submitted their applications still have until May 31, 2025, to complete their documentation via the glocup.com website. If the application process is not finalized by the deadline, the opportunity will be passed on to the next team in line.
