Bangkok: The GLO Cup 2025 Youth 8-a-side Football Tournament has officially closed its applications after receiving over 600 registrations from teams across the nation.
According to Thai News Agency, this overwhelming response highlights the growing enthusiasm for youth football in the country.
GLO Cup 2025 is a youth football tournament for under-13 and under-15 teams, organized through the collaboration of the Government Lottery Office (GLO) and the Thai Football Development Foundation. The tournament offers a total prize pool of over 1 million baht. Additionally, it provides a unique opportunity for young Thai players to enhance their skills by training in Japan with Avispa Fukuoka, a prominent J League club, for a period of six months.
Several renowned football teams have registered for the competition, including Muang Thong United, Port Authority, Assumption Thonburi, Bangkok Christian, Rajvithi Bangkaew, Phothinimit, Ratchaburi FC, Assumption Bangkok, Wat Suthiwararam, and Thepsirin.
Teams that have already registered have until May 31, 2025, to complete their applications by submitting all necessary documents via the glocup.com website. If the application is not finalized by the deadline, the opportunity will be extended to the next team in line.
