Got Athip Takes Full Responsibility for Use of Foundation Funds in Pool Villa Construction

Phuket:Bangkok Got Athip has publicly admitted that he alone is responsible for the use of funds in the construction of a pool villa in Phuket, asserting that his wife, Boom Panadda, was unaware of the financial details. He clarified that Boom believed the funds were for a foundation project in Khlong 8.

According to Thai News Agency, the controversy involves the "Doing Good" foundation, with allegations concerning the luxury pool villa construction in Phuket. Boom's husband, Got Athip, called into a TV program to explain his role, stating that Boom was occupied with other commitments and was not informed about the project's financial specifics. He mentioned that expense reports were labeled for the Khlong 8 foundation and refrained from disclosing further details due to potential legal implications.

The issue has also raised questions about alleged forgery and bank account manipulation for loans. Got emphasized his accountability and declined to discuss these matters further to avoid impacting others involved. Meanwhile, Boom Panadda confirmed her lack of awareness regarding the pool villa and emphasized her adherence to financial documentation for the foundation's projects.

Boom's lawyer, Petch, advised against filing a police report immediately, suggesting that more preparation was needed. However, following Got's recent admission, Boom plans to file a report with the Crime Suppression Division.

Additionally, the Facebook group "Oysri and Her Friends" announced plans to request a government investigation into the foundation. Police Lt. Gen. Nattasak Chaowanasai confirmed an ongoing investigation following a complaint alleging fraud and other charges against the foundation.

Deputy Interior Minister Polpeera Suwannachawi emphasized the seriousness of the allegations, stating that misuse of funds could lead to the foundation's registration being revoked after further investigations.
