Bangkok: His Majesty the King has officially appointed Mom Luang Panadda Diskul as a Privy Councillor, as confirmed by a Royal Decree published in the Royal Gazette. The decree highlights the King's Royal Command regarding the appointment, following the resignation of Mr. Supachai Phungam due to health concerns.
According to Thai News Agency, Mr. Supachai Phungam was initially appointed as a Privy Councillor on December 6, 2016. However, his subsequent resignation necessitated the appointment of additional Privy Councillors. Responding to this need, His Majesty the King exercised his authority under Sections 10, 11, and 14 of the Constitution of the Kingdom of Thailand, B.E. 2560 (2017), to appoint Mom Luang Panadda Diskul.
The royal appointment of Mom Luang Panadda Diskul is effective immediately, as announced on May 16, B.E. 2569 (2026), marking the 11th year of the current reign.
