Bangkok: The House of Representatives has paused progress on the Clean Air Act draft following issues with quorum, which has hindered further discussion and voting on the matter. This development came during a meeting chaired by First Deputy Speaker Chaiya Promma.
According to Thai News Agency, the draft Clean Air Management Act was prepared by a special committee led by Chakraphol Tangsutthitham, the Deputy Secretary-General of the Pheu Thai Party. The draft took over one year and eight months to complete before being presented to the House for its second and third readings.
In a related development, the Pheu Thai Party has proposed a discussion on "road subsidence," aiming to provide Prime Minister Anutin with potential solutions to address the issue. This proposal is part of the party's broader strategy to tackle infrastructural challenges facing the country.
