Iran Claims Responsibility for Shooting Down US F-35 Fighter Jet

Tehran: Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) claimed that its advanced air defense system struck a U.S. F-35 fighter jet over central Iran at approximately 2:50 a.m. local time on Thursday. Although the status of the aircraft is still under investigation, the IRGC expects it to have crashed and emphasized that it was successfully shot down.

According to Thai News Agency, Iran has previously shot down more than 125 drones from the United States and Israel, demonstrating its air defense capabilities. This operation marked the first time Iran had used enhanced Kader cruise missiles in combat.
