Bangkok: Internal Security Operations Command Region 1 (ISOC Region 1) conducted an integrated inspection of entertainment venues in the Huai Khwang area and discovered liquor without tax stamps, prompting legal action against those involved.
According to Thai News Agency, the inspection took place last night, with ISOC Region 1 collaborating with various related agencies under the directives of the National Council for Peace and Order's Order No. 22/2015, aimed at preventing and suppressing illegal activities in Bangkok. The participating agencies included Bangkok ISOC officers, military intelligence, Huai Khwang District Office, Sutthisan Police Station, Immigration Division 1, Excise Department Area 3, Disaster Prevention and Mitigation officers, the Bangkok Office of the Narcotics Control Board, and the central office of the Department of Employment.
Authorities inspected three establishments: SKYLAB BANGKOK, Charis Bar and Restaurant, and Guangxun Restaurant. During the inspection, liquor without tax stamps was discovered at one of the sites, leading to legal proceedings.
The inspection aimed to educate business operators about legal compliance for running entertainment venues, preventing crime and human trafficking, verifying business licenses, and ensuring adherence to government regulations concerning the sale of food and alcoholic beverages.
All three establishments cooperated with authorities and adhered to the recommendations provided. The operation was executed smoothly.
