J. Cole Releases Surprise EP on Birthday and Addresses Kendrick Lamar Issue

New york: J. Cole surprised everyone on his birthday with a new EP, and also addressed the issue with Kendrick Lamar. Recently, J. Cole, the veteran rapper who just turned 41, unexpectedly announced the release of his new EP, "Birthday Blizzard '26." However, what has drawn fan attention is the track "Bronx Zoo Freestyle," which addresses an incident between him and Kendrick Lamar.

According to Thai News Agency, in the lyrics, J. Cole openly admits that his diss and subsequent apology in 2024 damaged his reputation as one of the "Big 3" rappers of his era. "I used to be at the top, but that apology brought me down."

However, he also said he didn't care because he felt guilty towards Kendrick and had already sincerely apologized. He believes that what he owes the hip-hop industry is to produce good work in order to regain the trust and acceptance of his fans. He also announced the release of his new album, "The Fall Off," which will follow on February 6th.
