Japanese Tourist Attacked by Group of Men in Pattaya

Pattaya: A group of men attacked a Japanese tourist, leaving him seriously injured in the middle of Pattaya city. CCTV footage captured the incident.

According to Thai News Agency, the Japanese victim was fleeing from a group of 5-6 Thai men who chased after him on motorcycles and then rammed him, causing him to fall. The victim tried to run across the road to escape, but was pursued and beaten for a while before he finally managed to run and seek help from a good Samaritan.

The incident occurred around 4:30 AM on March 21, 2026, near the entrance of Soi Marine. The victim was later identified as a 26-year-old Japanese man. Rescue workers rushed to provide first aid before immediately transporting him to the hospital.

A good Samaritan stated that the victim, who was intoxicated, was assaulted by a group of 5-6 Thai men in front of Soi Marine before tripping and falling in front of a hotel. He then ran to seek help, and the good Samaritan immediately called the authorities to investigate.

Police have collected all the footage as evidence and are waiting for the victim to recover before investigating the facts to prosecute the group of Thai men who assaulted him. They are also working to apprehend them.
