Bangkok: Jaravee Boonchan continued her impressive performance at the 'Singha-NSDF Ladies Open 2026,' shooting a 3-under par 69 for a two-day total of 11-under par 133 at Windsor Park and Golf Club. The tournament, featuring a prize pool of 1.5 million baht, is set in a challenging par 72, 6,533-yard course.
According to Thai News Agency, the Ladies Professional Golf Association of Thailand (LPGA) is organizing the event, which is supported by Singha Corporation, the National Sports Development Fund, the Sports Authority of Thailand, and Windsor Park and Golf Club. The competition spans three days from July 22-24, 2026, involving a 54-hole stroke play format. After the initial two days, the field is reduced to 50 players and ties, excluding amateur golfers, for the final round. Those scoring over 16 over par (88) each day face disqualification. The professional category winner will earn 200,000 baht, with 132 female golfers participating, including 107 professionals and 25 amateurs.
On July 23rd, the second round faced a temporary halt at 3:00 PM due to a thunderstorm, yet all 36 groups completed their rounds. Jaravee Boonchan, a 27-year-old from Bangkok and currently ranked 154th in the world, maintained her lead with a consistent performance, marked by 4 birdies and 1 bogey. She holds a two-stroke advantage over 29-year-old Parinda Photikarn, a former top-ranked Thai LPGA player in 2017, who scored a 5-under-par 67, bringing her total to 9-under-par 135.
Jaravee expressed satisfaction with her play, despite some inconsistency in her driving. She noted the rain's slight impact on her momentum but remained focused on her strategy. Looking ahead, she plans to work on her swing and fitness during a two-week break in Thailand before the season's second half. She encourages fans to support her at the final round at Windsor Golf Course or follow the leaderboard online.
Parinda Photikarn shared her positive experience in the second round, highlighting her strong putting and driving. She plans to approach the final day with a relaxed attitude, aiming to build confidence and enjoy the game. Parinda credited her recent improvement to finding her rhythm, aided by running and spending more time on self-reflection.
