Joe Chaiwat Unveils Lottery Receipt Policy to Boost SMEs in Bangkok

Bangkok: Joe Chaiwat, candidate for Bangkok Governor from the People's Party, has introduced an innovative lottery receipt policy aimed at supporting small and medium enterprises (SMEs) in the city. During a campaign event at the Or Tor Kor Market, Chaiwat emphasized the People's Party's commitment to tackling corruption, stating that effective leadership is key to driving change.

According to Thai News Agency, Chaiwat Sathavorawichit, running for Governor as candidate number 10, and Apiwat Dansrichanchai, candidate number 3 for the Bangkok Metropolitan Council (BMA) in Chatuchak district, engaged with citizens and vendors at the market. They presented the "Easy-to-Trade" policy, which includes the "SME Receipt Lottery - Bangkok Version." This initiative allows citizens to receive chances to win prizes for every 20 baht spent at participating SME stores. The Bangkok Metropolitan Administration (BMA) has allocated 10 million baht monthly for prize money, aiming to stimulate spending, enhance word-of-mouth marketing, and support the sustainable income growth of small businesses.

Chaiwat also highlighted the People's Party's focus on combating corruption and preventing the buying and selling of positions in Bangkok. By creating preventative systems, the party aims to address structural issues proactively. He referenced the Lamphun Provincial Administrative Organization's success in purchasing goods at prices significantly below market value under similar leadership principles. Chaiwat urged citizens to give the People's Party a chance to govern, promising a departure from the status quo of the past four years. Meanwhile, Apiwat pointed out pressing issues in Chatuchak, such as garbage accumulation and flooding, which exacerbate traffic congestion. He also called for the development of covered walkways to improve pedestrian access to public transportation and enhance the markets under BMA's supervision.
