Bangkok:Karate athletes from Thailand have returned home with silver and bronze medals from the 20th Asian Games held in Aichi and Nagoya, Japan. The athletes arrived at Suvarnabhumi Airport alongside participants from soft tennis and cycling events.
According to Thai News Agency, "Foam" Maneewan Butsuwan secured a silver medal in the women's over 68 kg kumite event, while "Max" Teerawat Klangthong earned a bronze medal in the men's over 84 kg kumite category. Both athletes expressed that their success was due to their dedication and rigorous training.
They were pleased to contribute to the achievements of the Karate Association and the Thai national team at the Asian Games. The fourth group of athletes from the games is scheduled to return to Thailand today at 300 PM.
