Bangkok: Kla Tham has not yet joined the Bhumjaithai government, as confirmed by Mr. Chaiyanok Chidchob, Secretary-General of the Bhumjaithai Party, who stated that Kla Tham has not contacted them about joining a government coalition. The Bhumjaithai Party remains open to discussions with all political parties, and no negotiations for ministerial positions will occur until the Election Commission announces the results, with the exception of Ekniti Nitithanprapas and Supajee Suthamphan, who have already been announced for the Ministry of Finance and the Ministry of Commerce, respectively.
According to Thai News Agency, Mr. Chaiyanok emphasized the Bhumjaithai Party's willingness to engage with various parties, including the Pheu Thai Party and other smaller parties. The party has made a general announcement inviting any interested parties to discuss potential collaborations, although it has not specifically reached out to Kla Tham. Despite some parties initiating contact, including the Pheu Thai Party, Kla Tham has not yet done so.
Mr. Chaiyanok stated that there is no specific deadline for finalizing alliances, as the process depends on the official election results and the decision-making speed of each party. He reassured the public about national security, citing the party's past efforts with only 70 seats and expressing confidence in their continued commitment with nearly 200 seats today.
As for the Ministry of Agriculture and Cooperatives, Mr. Chaiyanok noted that discussions are needed to determine its leadership, contingent upon the confirmation of election results. Currently, no other ministerial positions have been decided beyond those of Mr. Ekniti and Ms. Supajee.
