Kritsanong Testifies in False Police Report Case Against The Icon

Ratchada: "Kritsanong" appeared in court to testify in the lawsuit against "The Icon". The court scheduled a hearing to examine witnesses in the case of Kritsanong's countersuit against The Icon for filing a false police report. Meanwhile, Kritsanong launched the "National Fund for Combating Insults" to help those whose rights have been violated by indiscriminate insults.

According to Thai News Agency, Ms. Kritsanong arrived at Ratchada Criminal Court to testify in her lawsuit against The Icon Group Co., Ltd., on charges of filing a false police report and maliciously causing another person to be subjected to criminal punishment. Previously, The Icon had filed two charges against Ms. Kritsanong: extortion and acting as an intermediary for collecting bribes. The lower court dismissed the extortion charge against her. Regarding the intermediary bribery charge, she was released on bail to fight the case, which is currently under appeal.

Ms. Kritsanong confirmed she is filing a countersuit to restore her dignity and set a precedent for the truth to be revealed. Today, she presented video evidence - a clip of her trip from Chiang Mai to Lamphun province - which she claims is the only video she possesses to prove she did not extort money. She asserts that the opposing party asked for her help and that the accusation of her extorting 20 million baht is untrue.

Ms. Kritsanong took the opportunity to meet with the media today to announce the launch of the "National Fund for Combating Insults," aimed at helping those who are insulted or whose rights are violated by unrestrained and irresponsible language. She stated that she has already sued those who have insulted her, and the money raised will go into this fund.
