Bangkok: Lawyer Aun has delivered a substantial body of evidence, totaling 3,000 pages, alleging collusion in the Senate elections to the Public Prosecutor's Office. The evidence was presented to Members of Parliament from the People's Democratic Reform Committee (PDRC), with claims that the connections could potentially be seen as an attempt to overthrow the government and a violation of national security under the Criminal Code.
According to Thai News Agency, Mr. Patarapong Supakorn, commonly referred to as Lawyer Aun, led the charge into Parliament to hand over the evidence to Mr. Phanthil Nuamjerm and Ms. Panida Mongkolsawas, MPs of the People's Party. Lawyer Aun contended that the evidence could be interpreted as an act against the government and a threat to national security, urging the People's Party to deliberate on their next course of action. This case is presently under the scrutiny of the Election Commission (EC), which has faced public skepticism.
Further steps involve preparing documentation for submission to the Office of the Attorney General, which is expected to pass the matter to the Constitutional Court for review of the alleged election collusion. Meanwhile, Ms. Panida called on all witnesses to come forward with any additional evidence to support the opposition's stance.
