Lecherous Undertaker Arrested in Phrae Province for Indecent Acts and Embezzlement

Phrae: A lecherous undertaker has been arrested after hiding at a relative's house in Phrae province. He is being prepared for transfer to Bangkok for questioning after seven women filed complaints against him for indecent acts and embezzlement of infant corpses.

According to Thai News Agency, the suspect, identified as "Sapthaero Sanom," a well-known undertaker from Wiset Chai Chan District, Ang Thong Province, faces allegations from seven women. The charges include indecent acts and embezzlement of infant corpses.

The suspect was reportedly involved in rituals that included shaving pubic hair and inserting fetuses into vaginas. He was also conducting autopsies on stillborn babies and burying infants but was accused of stealing children's bodies and refusing to return them to relatives. Additionally, he allegedly molested and sexually assaulted female victims during ritual bathing ceremonies to ward off bad luck.

Sources reveal that police from Division 2 of the Crime Suppression Division apprehended the undertaker, "Sanom," around noon today. His arrest was based on an arrest warrant issued by the Criminal Court. He was detained at a residence in Phrae Province where he was hiding.

Police are currently detaining a funeral director and searching three locations in Phrae province and surrounding areas to gather evidence. The arresting team from the Crime Suppression Division plans to bring the undertaker to their division for questioning this evening. The suspect is expected to arrive around midnight, with possible stops along the journey to identify additional evidence, such as knives and metal objects. The Commander of the Central Investigation Bureau is set to officially announce the arrest on March 5th.
