Liverpool: Liverpool have unveiled Uruguayan defender Ronald Araujo as their new signing on a loan deal from Barcelona for the 2026/27 season.
According to Thai News Agency, Liverpool did not pay a loan fee to Barcelona, but were responsible for all of Araujo's wages while playing at Anfield. The deal also included a clause allowing them to permanently sign the 27-year-old defender for £55 million (approximately 2.09 billion baht).
However, Araujo, who played 38 matches for Barcelona in all competitions last season, starting only 18 of them, agreed to take a partial pay cut of £240,385 (approximately 9.1 million baht) per week to help facilitate the transfer.
