Luang Pu Sila Leads Consecration of Luang Pho Ong Dam Chum Yen Amulet, Witnesses Miraculous Weather Event

Kalasin: A grand ceremony unfolded with the consecration of the "Luang Pho Ong Dam Chum Yen" amulet, marking the 234th anniversary of Kalasin. The event was graced by the presence of "Luang Pu Sila," whose arrival coincided with an unexpected meteorological phenomenon.

According to Thai News Agency, the ceremony took place at the Kalasin Provincial Government Center's new building, around the Royal Monument of King Chulalongkorn. Mr. Suwan Khemthanaphet, the Governor of Kalasin Province, officiated as the lay representative, while Phra Thep Wacharatham Sophon (Luang Pu Maha Sila Sirichantho), serving as the monastic representative, led the Buddhist consecration of the "Kalasin City 234 Years (8th Reign)" edition amulet.

The event drew numerous renowned Buddhist monks from various regions who participated in prayers and blessings to ensure the ceremony's auspiciousness. Initially, the weather was hot and humid with clear skies. However, upon the arrival of Luang Pu Sila, clouds gathered, obscuring the sun. As he entered the ceremony area, a light rain commenced, only to cease as the consecration began. Attendees reportedly witnessed cloud formations resembling Buddha images and several Naga serpents, considering it a blessing to partake in such a sacred ceremony.

The amulet's design features Luang Pho Ong Dam Chum Yen on the front, with the back showcasing the Kalasin city pillar and the "8 R" sacred symbol, inscribed by Luang Pu Maha Sila Sirichantho. This design is believed to symbolize prosperity, glory, wealth, and smoothness, offering auspiciousness to devotees.

Three types of coins were produced: gold, priced at 110,000 baht each; silver enamel, with 3,900 coins available at 3,900 baht each; and bronze, priced at 149 baht each. All coins have been fully reserved, highlighting the significant interest and reverence for this sacred edition.
