LUN FEST Transforms Bangkok Station into a Music Phenomenon

Bangkok: LUN FEST, a music festival held at Bangkok Station (Hua Lamphong), concluded successfully, marking a significant achievement for the MUSIC INDUSTRY NEXUS project by the Princess Galyani Vadhana Institute of Music. The project aimed to elevate the Thai music scene to an international level by creating a network that connects professional artists, the music industry, and educational institutions through the concept of "Distill, Resonate, and Tell." The event was graced by the presence of Mr. Danuphorn Punnakant, Assistant Minister of Higher Education, Science, Research and Innovation, who delivered the opening speech and participated in a photo session with the institute's executives. According to Thai News Agency, "LUN FEST" delivered a captivating experience with its lighting, sound, and visuals. The festival featured a diverse lineup of artists performing across two main stages. The NOISE BREWERY STAGE, the larger of the two, hosted artists like Tattoo Colour, BANK SORNRAM, GALCHANIE, GENE KASIDIT, ANNALYNN, ASIA7, Singto Numchok, and Foon, while the LUN STAGE, set on a classic train platform, showcased emerging talents such as HOT LIKE HELL, murrph., UNDA ALUNDA, Par-T, THE PUBLISH, B35 Borom 35, and Phumijit. The festival opened with ASIA7, who skillfully blended Asian pop sounds with world music elements and traditional Thai instruments, drawing enthusiastic applause. Performances by HOT LIKE HELL, GALCHANIE, murrph., and ANNALYNN further energized the audience with their varied musical styles. The lineup continued with UNDA ALUNDA's unique blend of rock and jazz, and GENE KASIDIT's electro-pop performance added vibrancy to the event. Par-T followed with indie folk-rock, and BANK SORNRAM captivated with traditional Thai folk theater. The show carried on with performances by THE PUBLISH, FOON, and B35 Borom35, each leaving a memorable impression on the audience. Singto Numchok's pop songs with surf music elements elicited cheers, while Phumijit presented indie rock songs with life stories and socie tal reflections. Tattoo Colour closed the festival, leading the crowd in a spirited sing-along. Beyond the performances, LUN FEST included the LUN Showcase and Artists and Partners Exhibition zones, which provided spaces for discovering new sounds and networking opportunities for industry professionals. The event also offered more than 200 students hands-on experience in various concert production roles, from Project Management to Audience Experience, helping them acquire skills for careers in the music industry. LUN FEST represents the culmination of the students' learning journey, showcasing their ability to work alongside professionals and bring a festival to life. The event highlighted the collaborative effort required in concert production, emphasizing the connection of knowledge, people, and actions from experience to knowledge and vice versa.
