Bang yai: A 21-year-old man was caught secretly taking photos under a woman's skirt and jumped from the fourth floor of a popular shopping mall in the Bang Yai area to escape punishment, suffering serious injuries. A popular Facebook page has posted questions about the victim's alleged use of an iPad in the incident.
According to Thai News Agency, officials performed CPR on 21-year-old Punnapop after receiving a report of a man who had fallen from the fourth floor of a well-known shopping mall in the Bang Yai district of Nonthaburi province. He sustained serious injuries. At the scene on the first floor in front of a supermarket, the man, wearing a top from a well-known university in the Bang Khen district and cream-colored trousers, was found lying motionless in a pool of blood. He had a large wound to the back of his head and a broken right ankle. The shopping mall's nurses and doctors attempted CPR on the unconscious man before rushing him to Kasemrad Hospital, Rattanathibet. Security guards cordoned off the area to prevent unauthorized personnel from entering.
Witnesses at the scene said the perpetrator was caught by their junior following them to take photos under their skirts. The junior then shouted for help from security guards and asked to check the perpetrator's mobile phone. This frightened the perpetrator and he suddenly decided to jump from the fourth floor in front of the junior. The junior victim was now very frightened and terrified.
The Facebook page Drama-addict posted questions about the incident, stating, 'In the case of jumping from a shopping mall, someone has provided additional information that is interesting. It sounds really strange because I've never seen a case of secretly taking photos up a skirt using an iPad before. The iPad is huge, secretly taking photos up a skirt, people can see everything. We should wait for the police to investigate further and look at the data on the iPad to see if there are any unusual chats.' They also posted images of comments from two Facebook users, who claimed that before the incident, they saw the injured person being yelled at by another man and surrounded by 3-4 other men. The injured person did not act aggressively, only raising their hands in a wai to apologize. Another comment suggested that the injured person may have been forced to commit the crime.
Initially, police will expedite the investigation of evidence at the scene and those involved with the injured person. They will also review nearby CCTV footage to determine the true cause of the incident.
