London: Max Downman made history by winning the Premier League with Arsenal at the age of just 16. Following Arsenal's spectacular championship victory, thanks to a favorable result in Manchester City only managing a 1-1 draw against Bournemouth in the Premier League, a new record has been set in England's top flight regarding young players poised to become future stars of the team.
According to Thai News Agency, Max Downman, the forward widely regarded as having talent comparable to Lionel Messi, has become the youngest player to win the Premier League title at just 16 years and 139 days old. This breaks the previous record held by Phil Foden, who won the league with Manchester City at the age of 17 years and 350 days.
Max Downman has not only achieved this remarkable feat with Arsenal but has also previously made his mark in the league. Man Utd etched his name in history in the game against Everton, scoring the late winner in a 2-0 victory, making him the youngest player to score in the English Premier League at the time, when he was 16 years and 73 days old.
