Nakhon ratchasima: MEA, in collaboration with partners, has delivered reinforced concrete pipes to assist the Royal Thai Army in constructing bomb shelters along the Thai-Cambodian border. Mr. Thitiwut Ngernklai, Deputy Governor of the Metropolitan Electricity Authority (MEA), and a team of MEA executives and staff, handed over more than 300 reinforced concrete pipes to Lt. Gen. Boonsin Phadklang, Commander of the Second Army Area, as part of efforts to enhance security for residents in the border areas of Nakhon Ratchasima, Buriram, Surin, and related provinces. According to Thai News Agency, the delivery of concrete pipes is slated to reach multiple locations, including Buriram Province, Ban Tapang Temple, Ban Kruat District, Surin Province, Phanom Dong Rak Witthaya School, Ban Ta Miang School, Nong Khanna Temple, and Ban Thai Niyom Phatthana School. The phased delivery plan aims for full completion by November 2025. For this initiative, MEA coordinated with contractors responsible for constructing manho les and underground electrical conduits, as well as those handling the conversion of overhead electrical cables to underground systems. The construction project uses the Pipe Jacking method with reinforced concrete pipes that have successfully passed standard testing. These pipes, donated by MEA, are being used by the Royal Thai Army for building bomb shelters. The partners involved in providing the concrete pipes and transportation include Si Saeng Karn Yotha (1979) Co., Ltd., Kaweewan Concrete Products Co., Ltd., Thai Ruang Industry Co., Ltd., ORC Premier Co., Ltd., Concrete and Pipe Products Co., Ltd., D.E.S. Co., Ltd., and P. Techline Co., Ltd.
