Minister of Tourism Visits and Encourages Evacuees in Buriram

Buriram: The Minister of Tourism visited and gave encouragement to the evacuees from the clashes between Thailand and Cambodia in Ban Kruat District and Lahan Sai District, Buriram Province, preparing to overthrow Cambodia and prevent it from participating in the 33rd SEA Games, which Thailand will host. According to Thai News Agency, Mr. Surawong Thienthong, Minister of Tourism and Sports, traveled to visit and encourage evacuees from the clashes between Thai and Cambodian soldiers in Ban Kruat and Lahan Sai districts, Buriram province, who are living in temporary shelters, including children, the elderly, and vulnerable groups. Mr. Sorawong said that from this incident, on behalf of the Ministry of Tourism and Sports, he condemned the actions of the Cambodian side and will discuss with the 11 SEA Games member countries to boycott Cambodia from the 33rd SEA Games, which Thailand will host from December 9-20.
