Udon thani: Suriya Jungrungreangkit, the Minister of Agriculture and Cooperatives, was urgently transported to the hospital after being discovered unconscious in his hotel room during an official field trip to Udon Thani. The incident occurred in the early hours of the morning, raising concerns about his health and workload.
According to Thai News Agency, Mr. Suriya had been on an official inspection tour in Udon Thani province when his team found him unconscious. They promptly took him to the hospital where medical staff performed CPR, successfully restoring his pulse. Sources close to Mr. Suriya indicated that his relentless work schedule since taking office has deprived him of adequate rest, leading to his current health issues.
As of now, Mr. Suriya's condition is stable; he is conscious and able to communicate with his team. However, he remains in the ICU for further assessment and detailed examination by doctors. Despite his hospitalization, Mr. Suriya was initially scheduled for inspections at the Ban Sam Phrao sluice gate and the Nong Dae wetland in Mueang Udon Thani District later in the day.
