Bangkok: Mongkol Surassajja, the Senate President, expressed his lack of concern regarding the Department of Special Investigation's (DSI) initiative to reenact the alleged collusion incident with the Senate. He firmly stated that, as the Senate president, he was unable to comment on the matter.
According to Thai News Agency, Mongkol Surassajja was questioned about his perspective on the DSI's decision to revisit the Senate election day events on April 25 to gather evidence of possible collusion. Mongkol reiterated his stance, explaining that he had no comments to offer because, in his role as chairman, he was not in a position to express any opinions.
When pressed further about his concerns, Mr. Mongkol maintained his composure, stating that he perceived no issues and, therefore, had no comments. He emphasized that his position as chairman precluded him from publicly sharing his thoughts.
Addressing inquiries about potential involvement with a Senator and the DSI's investigation in the election area, Mr. Mongkol responded with humor, suggesting that there was nothing to see. He remained confident and assured, dismissing any worries.
Regarding potential discussions with other senators, the Senate president indicated uncertainty and reiterated his inability to comment, as there was nothing substantive to discuss at the moment.
