Nationwide Sale Offers Relief Amidst Middle East Conflict

Bangkok: Shop for bargains in 676 districts nationwide, starting May 1st. The "Thai Helps Thai" sale will offer great deals every Friday in May at all 676 district offices nationwide.

According to Thai News Agency, Mr. Poonpong Naiyanapakorn, Director-General of the Department of Business Development, Ministry of Commerce, has invited the public to purchase discounted goods under the "Thai Helps Thai" project. Commencing on May 1st, the project will be hosted at district offices nationwide and offer consumer goods such as soap, shampoo, and detergent, alongside food products such as rice, sugar, cooking oil, and sauces. House Brand products from modern wholesalers and retailers, as well as alternative brands at special promotional prices, aim to expand access to affordable goods for all citizens. Sales will occur every Friday on the 1st, 8th, 22nd, and 29th of May.

This initiative, led by Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Commerce Supajee Suthamphan, involves the collaboration of the Department of Business Development with the Ministry of Interior and the private sector to provide affordable goods. This effort intends to significantly reduce the financial burden on citizens experiencing hardship due to the conflict in the Middle East, with price reductions ranging from 25% to 58%.
