Bangkok: The National Broadcasting and Telecommunications Commission (NBTC) is mandating telecommunications operators to ensure optimal signal quality during the New Year period of 2026.
According to Thai News Agency, Mr. Trairat Wiriyasirikul, Deputy Secretary-General and Acting Secretary-General of the NBTC, emphasized the significance of the New Year’s festival as a time when people heavily rely on mobile phone services and social media to send greetings and communicate. The NBTC is committed to facilitating this communication and is taking steps to prevent any decline in service quality during this busy period.
The NBTC has issued strict instructions to all mobile phone operators to enhance their service capabilities. This includes maintaining and repairing telecommunication networks, equipment, and devices required for mobile services. Operators are also advised to prepare personnel to address any issues promptly, ensuring that the public experiences efficient service throughout the New Year holiday in 2026.
Mr. Trairat highlighted the NBTC’s proactive measures to accommodate the expected surge in mobile usage, ensuring that users enjoy continuous and uninterrupted service during the celebrations.
