Nelly Korda Clinches Chevron Championship Title, Patty Papangkorn Finishes Runner-Up

Texas: The Chevron Championship 2026 concluded with American golfer Nelly Korda securing the major title at Memorial Park Golf Course. Korda finished the tournament with a score of 18 under par 270, marking her second Chevron Major title and her 17th LPGA career victory. Her stellar performance earned her the top prize of $1.3 million USD.

According to Thai News Agency, Thai golfer "Patty" Papangkorn Dhawatchanakit delivered a commendable performance, finishing as a joint runner-up alongside China's Yin Ruoning with a score of 13 under par 275. Both golfers received prize money of US$669,859 each. Papangkorn's efforts also saw her overtaking "Gino" to reclaim the world number one ranking in women's golf.

The championship served as a pivotal moment for Korda, not only marking her first major win of the year but also enabling her to reclaim the world number one ranking, surpassing Attaya Thitikul who did not make the cut in the tournament.
