Bangkok: A NIDA poll reveals that the majority of the public disagrees with the three parties - Prachachon, Kla Tham, and Democrat Party - forming a coalition government with the Bhumjaithai Party.
According to Thai News Agency, the National Institute of Development Administration (NIDA) released the results of a survey titled "Four Parties in a Government Coalition?" The survey was conducted between February 23-24, 2026, among 1,310 respondents aged 18 and over, representing all regions, educational levels, occupations, and income levels nationwide. The survey focused on public opinion regarding joining a coalition government with the Bhumjaithai Party.
A survey asking for public opinion on whether the Kla Tham Party should join a coalition government with the Bhumjaithai Party found that 64.35% of respondents believed the party should not join, followed by 34.05% who believed it should, and 1.60% who had no answer or were not interested.
Regarding public opinion on the Democrat Party's potential participation in forming a government with the Bhumjaithai Party, 58.24% of respondents indicated that the party should not join a coalition government with the Bhumjaithai Party. Following this, 40.84% believed the party should, and 0.92% did not answer or were not interested.
Regarding public opinion on the People's Party's potential participation in forming a government with the Bhumjaithai Party, a survey found that 71.14% of respondents believed the party should not join a coalition, followed by 28.55% who believed it should, and 0.31% who had no answer or were not interested.
Finally, when asked about public opinion on the Pheu Thai Party's potential participation in forming a government with the Bhumjaithai Party, 54.73% of respondents indicated that they should join the coalition, followed by 44.81% who said they should not, and 0.46% who did not answer or were not interested.
