Nonthaburi: The Nonthaburi Provincial Administrative Organization (PAO) joined forces with students from over 60 schools in Nonthaburi for the 'Green and Clean School Project, Year 7,' empowering youth to create environmental innovations for sustainability.
According to Thai News Agency, the Nonthaburi Provincial Administrative Organization, together with students from 60 network schools, participated in the 'Green and Clean School Project Year 7' at Central Westgate Shopping Mall in Nonthaburi Province. The event was attended by education administrators, representatives from government agencies, teachers, students, and the general public. Police Colonel Thongchai Yenprasert, President of the Nonthaburi Provincial Administrative Organization, presided over the event, along with Dr. Udon Rahothan, Vice President of the Nonthaburi Provincial Administrative Organization.
Pol. Col. Thongchai Yenprasert stated that the Green and Clean School Project is an activity that the Nonthaburi Provincial Administrative Organization has continuously implemented for the 7th year under the concept of "Collaborative Thinking, Collaborative Action, Collaborative Change towards the Sustainability of Thailand and Our World." The project aims to encourage educational institutions and youth to play a significant role in environmental conservation and to instill the concept of sustainable development from the school level, which is considered a crucial foundation for long-term societal change. The event featured exhibitions and environmental projects from over 60 schools in Nonthaburi province, including schools under the Nonthaburi Provincial Administrative Organization, the Nonthaburi Primary Educational Service Area Offices 1 and 2, the Nonthaburi Secondary Educational Service Area Office, and private schools. The exhibitions showcased inventions, innovations, and environmental management appro aches within schools, resulting from the concrete learning processes of students and teachers.
Among the notable exhibits was an exhibition booth from Lek Komes Anusorn School, ranked as a top Eco-School in 2025 and a winner of the 21st Green Globe Award in the youth group category. They presented the "LKM Market Place," a creative learning space simulating a learning market, allowing students to engage in roles of buyer, seller, and creator, while simultaneously instilling environmental awareness.
Meanwhile, Prasat Wittayanonthaburi School, the recipient of the Green School Model Award for Lower Secondary Schools from the Nonthaburi Provincial Administrative Organization for the second consecutive year, showcased its Green School Learning Pathway concept. This approach involved visitors in activities and short workshops, connecting environmental learning with real life, and highlighted the results of hands-on work by students, teachers, and the school.
Additionally, activity booths from Karansuksa School showcased AI technology in projects like the Carbon Footprint Tracker and creative projects such as Green Avatar and The Wall of Change (Digital Graffiti). The event also featured a family activity zone from the Nonthaburi Provincial Kindergarten Network, providing a space for parents and children to engage in crafts made from recycled materials and activities promoting environmental awareness. The event included student performances such as "Songs from the Heart...in Tribute to Her Majesty the Queen" from Prasat Wittaya Nonthaburi School, a performance by the VRN Marching Band from Wararat Suksa School, Nonthaburi, and the opening performance, "Twilight in the Forest, Warmth of the Water," from Charnrat Suksa School.
Another highlight was the "Green School" competition, organized by the Natural Resources and Environment Division of the Nonthaburi Provincial Administrative Organization. A panel of judges from national environmental organizations evaluated the schools' environmental management practices to recognize and serve as models for other educational institutions.
