According to Thai News Agency, the weather forecast for the next 24 hours indicates that thunderstorms and strong gusts of wind will persist in the aforementioned regions. Residents are advised to exercise caution due to potential dangers associated with thunderstorms and strong winds and to take care of their health amidst changing weather conditions. The easterly and southeasterly winds are contributing moisture, resulting in hot conditions in the upper parts of Thailand.
In the southern regions, increased rainfall is expected, with heavy rain predicted in some areas of the lower South. Residents should be vigilant for potential flash floods and forest runoff, particularly on hillsides near waterways and in low-lying areas. This weather pattern is due to the easterly and southeasterly winds prevailing over the Gulf of Thailand and the South, along with northwesterly winds affecting the lower Andaman Sea. Sea waves in the Gulf of Thailand are expected to reach heights of around 1 meter, and could exceed 2 meters during thunderstorms. Sailors are advised to avoid navigating stormy areas in the Gulf of Thailand and the Andaman Sea.
The weather conditions are also impacting dust accumulation, with moderate to high levels of dust and smog in the Northeastern region. However, the situation may stabilize or improve slightly due to anticipated rain in certain areas.
The regional weather forecast highlights varying conditions across the country. Bangkok and its surrounding areas will experience hot weather with thunderstorms expected in 40 percent of the area. The Northern region will also see hot weather with a similar percentage of thunderstorms, accompanied by strong winds in some areas. The Northeastern and Central regions will face similar weather patterns, with hot temperatures and thunderstorms affecting 30 percent of the areas. The Eastern region will experience hot weather with thunderstorms in the upper parts.
In the Southern Region, both the East and West coasts will see thunderstorms affecting 40 percent of the area, with some areas experiencing heavy rain. Waves in the sea along the East Coast are expected to be around 1 meter high, with heights exceeding 2 meters during thunderstorms.
