Bangkok:Num Kanchai, a well-known TV host, has expressed his concerns following a meeting with investigators at the Cyber Crime Investigation Bureau's Division 4. During the meeting, he provided a statement regarding his involvement as one of the 1,800,000 accounts that donated to a charity organization, which may result in him being considered a victim rather than just a witness.
According to Thai News Agency, Num Kanchai revealed that his feelings about the situation were starkly different after meeting with investigators. He described the meeting as "complete" and mentioned that the contrast between what he had been told and what he learned during the investigation was significant. While he provided information as a witness, he acknowledged the strong possibility of being classified as a victim, a determination that rests with the investigators.
Num Kanchai further encouraged other celebrities who had made similar donations to promptly share their information with investigators. Despite the situation, he remains committed to donating to charity, attributing his financial success to the support of the public and society. He plans to exercise greater caution in future donations, emphasizing the importance of ensuring each contribution is used effectively.
Addressing the misconception that, as a media figure, he could not be a victim, Num Kanchai insisted that anyone could find themselves in such a predicament. He urged patience from the public, assuring them that the truth would come to light soon.
