Over 200 MPs Register in Lively Eighth Day at Parliament

Bangkok: The reporting of MPs to the Parliament on the eighth day saw a lively turnout, with more than 200 members still pending registration. Halfway through the process, over 200 MPs have already reported, with the remainder requiring certification by the Election Commission.

According to Thai News Agency, the day's registration was marked by a continuous stream of MPs from various parties, including the Bhumjaithai Party, Democrat Party, Pheu Thai Party, Thai Ruam Palang Party, and smaller parties with list MPs. The Bhumjaithai Party, led by Prime Minister Anutin Charnvirakul, registered 148 MPs, raising the total to 283 registered members. Out of 499 MPs officially certified, 216 are yet to register.

Tomorrow, it is expected that Pol. Gen. Seripisut Temiyavej, leader of the Seri Ruam Thai Party, will report in the late morning. At 10:00 AM, Abhisit Vejjajiva, leader of the Democrat Party, alongside list and constituency MPs such as Mr. Juree Numkaew, MP for Songkhla Constituency 2, will also report for duty.

At 10:30 AM, Captain Thamanat Phromphao, leading a team from the Kla Tham Party, will register and pay respects to the sacred objects at the Parliament building, including Phra Siam Thewathirat and other revered shrines.

Later, at 12:30 PM, Pheu Thai Party's prime ministerial candidates Mr. Yotsanan Wongsawat and Mr. Julaphan Amornvivat, with party leader Mr. Suriya Jungrungruangkit, will guide the team of party-list MPs in reporting for duty.
