Bangkok: Police are urgently searching for a suspect who rode a motorcycle alongside and shot a 25-year-old man. Pak Kret police inspected the scene where a 25-year-old man was fatally shot by assailants on a motorcycle. The victim was a former vocational school student who had recently taken a regular job.
According to Thai News Agency, CCTV footage captured the victim riding his motorcycle to work before two suspected men on a motorcycle quickly followed him. The footage then shows the assailants on a motorcycle approaching and shooting him, causing his motorcycle to fall. The two assailants then stopped, and the passenger dismounted and shot him again, resulting in his death.
Police from Pak Kret Police Station responded to a crime scene in Soi Chaengwattana-Pakkret 23, Bang Talat Subdistrict, Pak Kret District, Nonthaburi Province. They found a deceased man, identified as Mr. Jarukit or "Ja," 25 years old. His body showed signs of being shot with a 9mm handgun in the chest and torso. A Honda Wave 125i motorcycle, dark blue in color, was found overturned nearby.
Witnesses recounted that in the morning, as the deceased was riding his motorcycle to work, two assailants on a motorcycle approached him and shot him dead. The motive may be related to a conflict between academic institutions, as the deceased had previously studied at a vocational school before taking a regular job. The deceased's mother, tearfully, said that she and her son spoke on the phone regularly and wanted to ask the perpetrators why they were so cruel. She was heartbroken and speechless.
Leelawadee, the grandmother of the deceased, stated that she saw two men, one sitting by the roadside in the woods and the other standing on the road, clearly visible from her house. This morning, her grandson told her he was going to work and rode his motorcycle out of the house. At that moment, she saw the two men on a motorcycle speeding after him. Shortly afterward, she found her grandson had been shot and killed.
Police are currently examining evidence at the scene and tracking down the two suspects for questioning.
