Pakornwut Urges Government Response Plan for Thai-Cambodian Border Issue

Bangkok: Pakornwut is concerned about those affected by the border disaster and hopes the government will have a response plan. Pakornwut expressed concern for people living along the Thai-Cambodian border and hoped the Prime Minister and the elected government had an effective plan in place to deal with the situation.

According to Thai News Agency, Mr. Pakornwut Udompipatkul, a party-list MP from the People's Party and chairman of the opposition's coordinating committee in the House of Representatives (opposition whip), commented on the Prime Minister's authorization for the military to fully manage the Thai-Cambodian border issue. He stated that he initially expressed his concern for the people living along the border and affirmed that the Prime Minister and the democratically elected government must have a prepared and effective plan, prioritizing the safety of the people and considering the ultimate goal, as war ultimately ends in negotiations. However, Mr. Nattapong Ruangpanyawut, a party-list MP and leader of the People's Party, will provide further details in a press conference.
