Bangkok: Pavina Laksanawisit led Bangkok parliamentary candidates on a campaign tour by car and boat, visiting communities along the Phra Khanong and Prawet canals before meeting with residents in the Sai Mai area. She emphasized solving social problems, revitalizing community-based tourism, and increasing income for residents.
According to Thai News Agency, Ms. Paweena Hongsakul, Chairperson of the Social Advisory Committee of the Kla Tham Party (KT), campaigned in support of the candidates for Bangkok Constituency 22, Mr. Chanthat Rinnopakhun (number 10), and Constituency 21, Ms. Minticha Maneenontaset (number 9), visiting canal communities. She traveled by boat from Wat Mahabut to Al-Kubra Mosque, then continued to Wat Krathum Suea Pla, and met with residents at Number One Market.
Ms. Paweena highlighted that the Phra Khanong-Prawet canal area was once a vibrant tourist community, now quieter. Residents expressed a desire to revitalize the area as a tourist destination to boost their income. She stressed that tourism and exports are crucial for the country's income, pointing out the canal's potential as a tourist attraction, which aligns with the Kla Tham Party's policy of alleviating poverty and improving quality of life.
The Al-Kubra Mosque community was noted for its exemplary childcare facilities, supporting the party's policy of caring for all lives. The daycare center in the community allows parents to work while ensuring children are well cared for, reflecting the party's commitment to enhancing quality of life.
Ms. Paweena concluded her tour in District 11, participating in a campaign parade for Mr. Teeradet Naseek, number 8, which received significant attention and positive feedback for the party's social policies.
