Sa kaeo: The People's Democratic Reform Committee (PDRC) has made a significant move by leading a group to Ban Nong Chan, emphasizing its position on national protection.
According to Thai News Agency, the People's Democratic Reform Committee (PDRC) mobilized 200 individuals on three buses to lend their support to soldiers stationed at Ban Nong Chan. The group, while affirming their intent not to invade the area as done previously by "Weera," expressed concerns about the upcoming date of November 17th, highlighting fears of Thailand potentially losing out on a peace treaty.
The Student and People's Network for Thailand Reform (SNNRPT), under the leadership of Mr. Phichit Chaiyamongkol, also transported more than 200 supporters from Bangkok to Ban Nong Chan, located in Sa Kaeo Province. Their mission was to back the military and police officers at the checkpoint by providing essential supplies such as rice, dried food, and drinks. A brief speech was delivered to underline the PND's position, followed by a musical performance intended to boost the morale of the officers. This gathering had obtained necessary permissions from local security forces to use loudspeakers.
Additionally, PDRC leaders have reiterated their decision to refrain from entering the disputed territory, unlike the approach taken by Mr. Wira Somkwamkit. The PDRC has declared Nong Chan as Thai territory and emphasized their resolve to assert their rights, preventing any unauthorized occupation. They are gearing up to closely observe the upcoming border demarcation on November 17th, with plans to potentially mobilize a significant civil society movement should Thailand's position be compromised.
