Bangkok: A pedestrian was seriously injured after being struck by a train following a nighttime urination incident at the Asoke-Din Daeng railway crossing. This location was already under scrutiny earlier in the evening due to a separate train collision with a bus.
According to Thai News Agency, initial reports reveal that the injured individual was a male motorcycle rider. Before the accident, he was reportedly urinating by the railway tracks while wearing headphones. As he made his way back to his motorcycle, he failed to notice an oncoming train, resulting in a severe collision.
Rescue workers promptly attended to the scene, providing immediate assistance and transporting the injured man to the hospital for further medical care. Meanwhile, the train driver involved in the incident is set to undergo questioning at Makkasan Police Station as part of the investigation into the circumstances surrounding the accident.
