Bangkok: The people shed tears as they waited to bid farewell to Princess Bajrakitiyabha. Citizens gathered at Chulalongkorn Hospital to pay their last respects to Her Royal Highness Princess Bajrakitiyabha. The atmosphere at the Thai Red Cross Society was filled with a large number of people who had come since morning to await the procession carrying the Princess's body. Most people were dressed in black and held portraits of the Princess, expressing profound grief and loyalty. Despite the hot and humid weather, everyone waited patiently, some with mats to sit on and umbrellas for shade.

According to Thai News Agency, Mrs. Jirapha Kasemwan, a 62-year-old from Nakhon Pathom province, shared her deep admiration and emotional connection to His Majesty's royal duties. She recalled following His Majesty since her youth and being impressed by his unwavering dedication to serving the people, especially in justice and corrections. She recounted an incident where His Majesty apologized for being late to an event, which reflected his compassion and care for his people.

Ms. Jirapha expressed her sorrow and desire to apologize for causing any fatigue to His Majesty. She had closely followed his illness and prayed for his recovery, but was deeply saddened by his passing, noting his young age. She affirmed her intention to cherish His Majesty's kindness and compassion forever, bidding farewell with tears and stating that he will always remain in the hearts of the Thai people.

Others gathered shared similar sentiments, commending His Majesty's commitment to the well-being of the Thai people, particularly in law and justice. Many were saddened by the news of his passing and found it hard to accept. Even those who had attended the funerals of previous monarchs were deeply affected by this loss.
