Bangkok: "Pharadon" reiterates that he is not involved and is not smart enough to devise a system of collusion in the Senate. Mr. Paradorn Prisnanantakul, Minister attached to the Prime Minister's Office and MP for Ang Thong Province from the Bhumjaithai Party, addressed allegations stemming from an iLaw report implicating him in collusion related to the Senate election. The report suggested that Mr. Ekkarat Changlao, a former MP for Khon Kaen from the Bhumjaithai Party and identified as witness number 16/26, had named Mr. Paradorn as a key figure in orchestrating the collusion.
According to Thai News Agency, Mr. Paradorn stated that he had reviewed the statements, noting that witness number 16 in the 26th subcommittee of the Election Commission had retracted their testimony. The allegations pointed towards Mr. Paradorn, the party's executive committee, and the Bhumjaithai Party, accusing them of devising a collusion system. Mr. Paradorn firmly denied these accusations, stating that he lacked the capability to engineer such a scheme.
Mr. Paradorn expressed his belief that the allegations might be part of a larger agenda to discredit the Bhumjaithai Party, potentially leading to its dissolution. He highlighted that the accusations targeted high-ranking party officials, suggesting a motive to destabilize the party's leadership.
When questioned about legal actions, Mr. Paradorn acknowledged that the issue had been longstanding, denying any involvement over the past two years. He indicated that the party would consult with their legal advisors on potential further steps, including the possibility of filing a police report.
