Bangkok: “Pichai” confirms that everything has been cleared up after an argument with “Narumon” in the middle of the cabinet meeting, confirming that there is nothing, it is a concern about durian export figures, just an exchange of opinions. Mr. Pichai Naripthaphan, Minister of Commerce, spoke about the news report that in the Cabinet meeting today (18 March), there was an argument with Mrs. Narumon Pinyosinwat, Minister of Agriculture and Cooperatives, regarding the export of Thai durian to China, which caused the Prime Minister to stop the fight and let them reach an agreement.
According to Thai News Agency, Mr. Pichai stated that tomorrow (19 March 2015), durian farmers from Chanthaburi Province will come to meet him. As for the argument with Ms. Narumon, Mr. Pichai confirmed that there was nothing. It was just a concern about export figures, that’s all. There was nothing, just an exchange of ideas. He repeated several times that ‘there was nothing.’
As for the case where the Prime Minister ordered them to clear things up outside of the meeting and then report back to the new Cabinet meeting, Mr. Pichai stated that it had been cleared up and discussed. When asked if everything was okay, Mr. Pichai replied briefly, ‘Yes,’ before telling the driver to close the car door.
