Samut prakan: A 70-year-old woman was left with severe injuries after being attacked by a pit bull while delivering a package to a neighbor.
According to Thai News Agency, Ms. Fu was bitten by the neighbor's pit bull, a four-year-old male American Pitbull Terrier named Four, during an incident yesterday evening at the end of Soi Ruam Phatthana 8 in the Thaimai Subdistrict of Samut Prakan Province. Rescue workers arrived promptly at the scene to administer immediate assistance and transported Ms. Fu to the hospital for further treatment.
Mr. Methee, Ms. Fu's husband, recounted that while she was delivering a package, a child from the neighbor's house opened the door, allowing Four to lunge at her. The dog bit her violently, leading to severe injuries on her face and head. Despite Ms. Fu's familiarity with Four, having regularly fed and watered the dog in the owner's absence, the pit bull did not recognize her and attacked.
Mr. Tamee, a neighbor, mentioned that Four has displayed aggressive behavior since its puppyhood. The dog previously bit a utility bill collector and, two years ago, injured another elderly neighbor. Due to its known aggressive nature, the owner has avoided taking it outside. The recent incident marks the second severe attack involving Four.
