Ploy Chermarn Donates 500,000 Baht to Cancer Institute After Recovery from Cancer

Bangkok: Actress Ploy Chermarn Boonyasak has donated 500,000 baht to the National Cancer Institute, celebrating her recovery from cancer. The contribution aims to support the treatment of cancer patients, reflecting her recent personal battle with stage 2 breast cancer, which had spread to her lymph nodes. Her cancer journey involved two surgeries and 25 rounds of chemotherapy, stemming from a hereditary condition passed down from her grandmother. After a two-year fight, she received news late last year that the cancer was gone, although she continues to take medication and undergo regular checkups.

According to Thai News Agency, Ploy has expressed a sense of rebirth following her recovery but remains vigilant, aware of the potential for cancer to return. She is committed to maintaining her health through proper diet, rest, and stress management. Ploy expressed gratitude to her family and friends for their steadfast support during her illness.

When asked about her personal life, Ploy mentioned that she is taking a break from romantic relationships to focus on herself. Despite interest from potential suitors and introductions from friends, she does not feel ready to pursue a new relationship.

In terms of her career, Ploy is eager to return to acting and has accepted two guest roles, including one in a Boys' Love series. She clarified that while she is open to various roles, she prefers to avoid projects involving politics or religion. Ploy also emphasized her need for early wrap-ups on set to prioritize her health.

Addressing her friends from the "Angels" girl group, who faced a fraudulent investment betrayal, Ploy expressed understanding and concern. She has been a supportive listener and believes the situation will resolve positively.

Ploy recounted a humorous incident from Paula Taylor's birthday party, where she was accidentally left behind at a restaurant by her friends. She took the incident lightly, acknowledging it was her own fault for not informing them of her whereabouts, and considered it a funny moment that went viral.
