Hat yai: Authorities raided a harem-like establishment used for drug sales and illicit activities, where rooms had been rented for months. Nine suspects were arrested, including several attractive young women who were found associating with older men.
According to Thai News Agency, the Hat Yai Narcotics Suppression Unit, known as the Tawan Unit, conducted a raid at a resort on Chanprateep Road in Hat Yai Municipality, Songkhla Province. This operation was initiated after reports emerged that the resort was being used as a drug den for several months. The location was reportedly a hub for drug dealing and consumption, with a constant influx of people.
The unit conducted surveillance on the resort and confirmed that drug activities were ongoing in one of the rooms, marked by a high volume of individuals entering and exiting. Once confirmed, they moved in, strategically blocking all escape routes to prevent any suspects from fleeing. In total, nine individuals were apprehended, comprising seven men and two young women. The men were predominantly older, while the women were noted as being young and attractive. All suspects were taken into custody.
Among those arrested was Mr. Boy, identified as the owner of the drugs. He was caught at a table, actively dividing crystal meth. Authorities seized 5 grams of crystal meth, a digital scale, packaging bags, and two sets of drug paraphernalia from him. A search of Ms. Rin's bag resulted in the discovery of one bag of crystal meth, while Ms. Wasana's bag contained two methamphetamine pills. Each individual was caught in the act and charged based on the offenses and evidence gathered at the scene.
