According to Thai News Agency, the Prime Minister, Ms. Paethongtarn Shinawatra, postponed a previously scheduled mission involving Ms. Suchata Chuangsri, Miss World 2025, and the Miss World group to pay respects at the Purple Room, Thai Khu Fah Building, Government House, rescheduling it to tomorrow. This decision was made to prioritize an urgent meeting concerning security matters.
The urgent meeting was prompted by the recent 6th Meeting of the Cambodian-Thai Joint Commission on Demarcation for Land Boundary (JBC). The Prime Minister arrived at Phitsanulok House at 9:30 a.m. The meeting was attended by Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense, General Nattapol Nakphanit, Deputy Minister of Defense, Mr. Marist Sengiampong, Minister of Foreign Affairs, and General Songwit Noonpakdee, Commander-in-Chief of the Royal Thai Armed Forces, who joined the discussions amidst keen media attention.
Later in the afternoon, at 2:00 p.m., the National Security Council (NSC) invited relevant agencies to a meeting to address the announcement by Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Manet, concerning the cessation of purchasing telecommunications signals and electricity from Thailand. The meeting aimed to assess the situation and devise a course of action, focusing on five key points: information on trading telecommunication signals and electricity to Cambodia, actions post-Cambodian measures, impact assessment, legal issues, and suggestions for future implementation.
